Vice President (VP) of Operations
Full service third-party logistics company located in all major West Coast Ports, specializing in warehousing, transportation, distribution, and cross-docking, seeks a results-oriented Vice President (VP) of Operations.

This person will be responsible for overseeing a range of activities which includes: business process, nine facilities, and ensuring facility optimization throughout the operations. The VP of Operations will be a model of leadership, managerial excellence, integrity, and will be responsible for the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with executive leadership, other divisions, and departments to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems
Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, warehouse acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision
Function as the operational counterpart to the President by managing senior leaders to ensure each team s goals promote rapid growth, stay within budget, and are executed upon in a timely manner
Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the President and other executive leadership
Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
Engender a culture of accountability with strong KPIs that facilitate focus and accurately monitor performance
Full P&L responsibility and ownership of the financial model
Performs other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience in multi-state warehouse acquisitions planning
Outstanding track record of managing operations and delivering results through developing significant improvements in costs and transport
Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience with a successful track record of developing and coordinating multiple sites for a rapidly growing company
Substantial experience in lean process development, inventory control, logistics, and distribution management
Experience managing a team of senior operations professionals
The ability to quickly assess the operational efficiency of a facility and prioritize improvement processes
Possesses the ability to creatively identify options to problem resolution and implementation methods

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Relevant Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience of direct involvement in warehousing, transportation, and/or logistics fields.
At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required
