The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a position in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing recovery care for post-operative and trauma patients within a busy PACU setting. Candidates must be licensed and bring their license on the first day of placement. The position requires rotation shifts, primarily during weekdays, with opportunities for weekend and night shift rotations as needed.

- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); minimum of 2 years of PACU experience, including prior PACU experience preferred for level 1 trauma; experience with respiratory therapy equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP; proficiency in reading strips from electrocardiograms (ECGs); experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; must be outside 50 miles from the facility; candidates with previous permanent roles or travel assignments within the past 2 years are ineligible.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU patient recovery, handling trauma cases, and working with nuclear or pediatric patient populations is advantageous.
- Schedule Details: Shifts start at various times between 0730 and 1000, with options for 0.9 FTE scheduled as three 12-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts, and 1.0 FTE scheduled as four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts.
- Additional Information: Charge nurses may take assignments only when necessary. The unit typically has five patient care assistants (PCAs) in pre-op, two in PACU, and two in Phase II. ICU recoveries are handled in PACU unless ICU beds are available, which depends on throughput and capacity. The position may require working one holiday shift and one holiday call shift per season. Call response time is within 1 hour. Floating to other pre/post departments is permitted as needed.
