Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Neuro Job Details: Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Seasonal travel assignment for 3 positions available Patient ratio of 4:1 (currently running some 5:1 due to staffing) Work on 38-bed unit with neurology and medical-surgical patients Required certifications: NIH certification, BLS, heavy medical-surgical background Preferred qualifications: ACLS certification and neurology experience Typical procedures include NIH/stroke assessments, neurological assessments, fall risk assessments, trach care, and feeding tube management Equipment includes IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap (mostly at night), and glucometers Electronic medical record system: Meditech Must be highly motivated team player with excellent critical thinking skills Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and work well under pressure required Must be passionate about neurology patient population and engaged with patient experience Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive medical center offering specialized neurological and medical-surgical services.
