COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

PRIMARY ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned professional to perform advanced problem-solving related to fuels in support of nuclear plant operations. The role requires making technical decisions and holds a comprehensive understanding of the functional discipline and its regulations, demonstrating recognized industry expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct advanced nuclear engineering tasks that bolster nuclear plant operations.
  • Engage in independent research, studies, and analyses that support technical projects.
  • Provide expert consultation to develop and implement nuclear engineering activities focused on plant safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of work, maintaining proper management of configuration and adherence to design standards.
  • Utilize technical expertise to identify and resolve equipment and system-related issues.
  • Oversee task management of nuclear engineering concerns.
  • Propose new strategies and techniques aimed at improving performance and reducing operational costs.
  • Support plant design modifications and testing as necessary.
  • Verify that all nuclear engineering outputs comply with safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management and budget planning with respect to Nuclear Fuels staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Over 10 years of engineering experience with a track record of exceptional performance.
  • Demonstrated solid results for a minimum of 2 years, meeting Fuels IIIA and IIIB criteria.
  • Approval required from the Nuclear Fuels Director, Director of Human Resources, and VP of Nuclear Fuels for placement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineering Registration or an advanced technical degree.
  • QNE Qualification or SRO Certification is desired.
  • Experience in Core Design and Core Monitoring.
  • Proficiency with CASMO/SIMULATE software.
  • Familiarity with coding/programming.
  • At least 1 year in the Fuels Engineer IIIA Classification.
