Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pediatric Respiratory Therapy Manager will oversee the NICU Blood Gas Lab and the Pediatric Respiratory Therapy department. You will ensure all regulatory compliance for the Blood Gas Lab and serve as a resource for neonatal and pediatric respiratory care practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all governing bodies for the NICU Blood Gas Lab.
  • Develop department goals and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in human growth and development as well as assessment and treatment.
  • Act as a resource for hospital staff and physicians on respiratory care practices.
  • Support department workflow by ensuring appropriate staffing and managing scheduling.
  • Conduct evaluations and annual reviews of staff performance.
  • Ensure department supplies and equipment are available and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead efforts in quality improvement and data collection.
  • Promote HCA Healthcare's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited AMA School for Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Current Tennessee licensure as a Registered Therapist.
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE; PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • Proven experience in NICU and Pediatric Respiratory Care.
