What You'll Do:
- Lead patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
- Participate in evaluating the quality of care delivered in collaboration with management.
- Foster teamwork through collaboration with experts to enhance outcomes.
- Embrace a patient-first philosophy, addressing service recovery as needed.
- Implement strategies that enhance nurse engagement and improve patient care.
- Guide the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of new staff.
- Assist in staff scheduling to meet patient care needs effectively.
- Help manage inventory control and ensure appropriate supplies are available.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION REQUIRED: ADN required; BSN preferred.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: RN licensure in Texas or a compact state required; BCLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of one year of management experience and acute care experience required.
- SKILLS: Effective critical thinking, crisis management, and communication skills; ability to foster team-building and respond empathetically to needs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
