PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will perform advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations. You will be responsible for making critical technical decisions and will possess extensive knowledge in your functional discipline, along with a thorough understanding of applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide expert technical guidance to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Engage directly to identify and resolve equipment and system issues through exceptional technical expertise.
- Oversee the comprehensive management of engineering tasks and issues.
- Execute engineering responsibilities as directed by management, applying fundamental engineering principles.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and compliance with standard design practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, studies, and analyses to support various technical projects and programs.
- Propose innovative equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, cut costs, rectify design flaws, or meet updated codes and regulations.
***This position can be filled at either the Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. Please review the minimum qualifications for each level below:***
Expected salary range:
- Mid-Level: $88,000 - $108,000
- Senior Level: $115,000 - $141,000
Compensation ranges are annual and based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401k.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-Level Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of Nuclear experience or a related engineering field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering with at least 5 years of Nuclear experience or a related engineering field.
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework is a plus.
