A leader in the treatment of mental health and addictive disorders, UPMC is consistently ranked among the nation s top hospitals for psychiatry by U.S. News & World Report.We have an array of opportunities for Psych CRNPs and PAs in various specialties and locations!Adult Outpatient Psychiatry (Pittsburgh)Center for Adult Autism and Developmental Disabilities (Pittsburgh)Geriatric Behavioral Health (Pittsburgh and surrounding areas)Western Behavioral Health of the Alleghenies Adult Outpatient program (Altoona)UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is an integrated behavioral health system comprising clinical services, education and training, and research. Together with the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, we provide behavioral health care that is informed by the latest research, for individuals across the life span, who are at all stages in their recovery. Many of our sites are teaching clinics and offer opportunities for working with residents, medical students, and APP trainees creating an environment of inclusivity and teamwork.NPs and PAs are encouraged to continue their education by attending weekly, APP Case Conferences hosted by rotating physicians who offer a wealth and variety of experience. We also provide a quarterly Clinical Enhancement Series, where APPs have the day to attend classes taught by our world-class faculty. Western Psych also hosts an Annual Quality Fair, while the Dept of Psychiatry hosts Grand Rounds almost weekly.
