We are searching for an experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist to help ensure our patients receive the highest quality care. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a supportive team environment, we want to hear from you!
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As the Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will work under minimal supervision to assist the Shift Supervisor with supervisory duties while providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign shifts and manage workload of staff therapists.
- Conduct performance appraisals.
- Supervise and guide the work of respiratory therapy staff.
- Orient new hires into the department.
- Provide direct patient care as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Respiratory Therapist license from the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care and NBRC RRT credential.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Respiratory Care.
- Preferred one year of recent supervisory experience.
