Job Summary and Qualifications
The Intermediate Care Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing support while advocating for patients to enhance their care experience.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Assessing patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Executing procedures and interventions as directed by medical providers.
- Accurately documenting care activities in patient medical records in a timely manner.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patients' responses.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
