Event Coordinator

This position supports HR leadership and is responsible for coordinating companywide events and administering operational tasks, duties and responsibilities. This position will also provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support on employee services related issues and needs.



  • Coordinate the planning, set up, execution and breakdown of company-wide employee appreciation events; such as tenure recognition and week-long quarterly events
  • Assist in maintaining the budget
  • Partner with Marketing on the creation of communication plans and creative requests for the company-wide employee appreciation events
  • Respond to employee and leadership inquiries through various methods; such as email, phone and instant messenger
  • Receive, review and submit invoices to Accounting
  • Accurately review and maintain vendor documents, as needed
  • Assist in the facilitation and coordination of employee services initiatives, as needed
  • Facilitate administrative work and additional operational tasks, as needed



  • Bachelors degree in any relevant field; such as business administration, marketing or hospitality, etc.


  • 2+ years of event planning, non-profit work, customer service or coordinating employee appreciation initiatives




  • Office management or corporate environment experience preferred


  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and consult effectively one-on-one
  • Ability to effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of personnel
  • Strong customer service skills; employee friendly attitude
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Must be organized, have good time management skills and a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions, as well as new ideas for events and employee engagement
  • Ability to professionally handle employee complaints and constructive criticism/feedback from peers and leaders
  • Ability to follow directions, adhere to all HR and company safety policies and enforce compliance
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in unusual or emergency situations, following policies and procedures
