Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will report directly to the Charge Nurse or Emergency Department Manager, playing a vital role in planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care.
Qualifications:
- Experience Required: 1-3 years in a nursing capacity.
- Education Required: An Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Current Texas Registered Nursing license or a compact state license.
- BLS Certification within 30 days of hire.
- ALS Certification within 6 months of hire.
- ENPC Certification within 12 months of hire (for existing employees who were previously certified, obtain ENPC before current certification expiration).
- TNCC or ATCN certification within 12 months of hire (for existing employees hired before April 1, 2022, a certification must be obtained by December 31, 2022).
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 60 days of hire and thereafter annually.
- Preferred: CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification.
