Director of Supply Chain

We are currently assisting our client with a Director of Supply Chain search based near Youngstown, OH. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the successful candidate will fulfill a key role on the Leadership Team as this position will manage and have direct accountability for company supply chain activities. The successful candidate will maximize overall supply chain operations in the areas of supplier management, develop an integrative materials management system, lead strategic efforts in reducing company inventory, maximize their forecasting efforts, and meet budget objectives while negotiating supplier agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Define the global purchasing program and strategy to improve overall business profitability
• Develop and improve overall materials management/inventory control program affecting all company sites
• Implement new programs and practices for company-wide changes in inventory management, purchasing, and production planning
• Develop and provide sourcing direction for their global supplier network
• Maximize the utilization of current inventory and drive longer-term reductions
• Analyze and evaluate global purchasing performance across multiple divisions to maximize cost savings and profitability

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred
• 10+ years of materials/supply chain management
• 3+ years in corporate or multi-site materials/supply chain management
• Open to 20% domestic and international travel
