SUMMARY
Paladin is seeking a Director of Green Building Certification to help deliver quality services for our company's client construction projects. As a Director of Green Building Certification, you will be responsible for delivering high quality sustainability initiatives, certification goals, and results for new and existing buildings. The Director of Green Building Certification will be responsible for leading, managing, and holding accountable the Sustainability Team including development of processes, delivery of projects and oversight of production, and planning and achievement of revenue targets.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The primary objectives of the Director of Green Building Certification position are:
1. Lead the Sustainability Department comprised of support team working to achieve client's objectives.
2. Drive new sustainable project initiatives by identifying project goals, targeting methods for positive feedback, and enhancing Paladin's offerings to clients. It's critical that the Director of Green Building Certification should be a self-starter in this role.
3. Service assigned Paladin Client Accounts through consulting, deliverable preparation, modeling, and relationship development. The focus is on being a key strategic partner with our project teams while servicing them to ensure project success and further opportunities for revenue
Job Description/Industry Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role must have at least 8 years of sustainable design and construction, energy and/or related building modeling experience. Experience within Construction, Commissioning, Building Engineering, Building Maintenance, and/or Building Sustainability strongly preferred. Whole Building Lifecycle Assessment is essential.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Develop accurate models and deliverables to support emissions reductions, energy cost reductions, and similar targeted outcomes.
- Maintain project budgets to deliver analysis and sustainability deliverables in a correct and timely manner.
- Utilize strong verbal and communication skills
- Be a team player and leader who works well with other departments and functions
Administration & Planning:
- Manage the production of the deliverables in a high-quality manner consistent with stated standards and compliance paths for certification programs, where applicable.
- Provide weekly reports on assigned metrics, projects, and communications to demonstrate actions that drive completion of production goals per month.
- Develop an annual professional development plan that outlines strategies to meet assigned goals.
Experience:
- 8+ years in sustainability in relevant industry and vertical market experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Whole Building Lifecycle Assessment experience
- LEED AP Required. Green Globes Professional and other designations preferred.

REPORTING
This position reports to the Operations Manager and serves on the Leadership Team of Paladin, Inc. collaborating with other departments for delivery of high-quality projects across the spectrum.
