Brief Description:

Shutterfly is looking for an experienced Art Director to join our dynamic in-house agency in Minneapolis (Eden Prairie).

You will manage and lead a team of designers and a copywriter to develop winning marketing creative across digital channels such as email, site updates, display and social media advertising. This position reports to the Creative Director of Channel Marketing.

With a background in ecommerce/retail for brands people love, you'll hit the ground running. You love to propose new ideas from A/B tests to better ways to get things done. Your extensive experience in the digital space means you understand how to design a winning email and display ads that catch consumers eyes and entice them to click.

You have great management skills and ability to lead, develop and retain a growing team, set goals, and delegate responsibilities. You love to coach and mentor as much as you love to partner with internal clients on better ways to do things.

How will you make an impact?
  • Provide excellent art direction and mentorship to Designers and Copywriters
  • Attend kick offs with our internal clients, oversee project work, propose ideas to address the business need
  • Partner with internal clients to deliver results for the business
  • Manage a team of Designers and Copywriter to deliver marketing creative that drives sales and supports the brand
  • Develop creative for marketing across email, site, online display and other channel work as assigned
  • Ensure that creative work is compelling, consistent
  • Meet or beat business goals on revenue, customer retention and customer acquisition goals.
  • Support innovation, leveraging technology to work smarter
  • Adhere to brand and campaign standards to deliver work that is on brand and drives results
  • Support A/B testing

Your success will be because you are/have...
  • 6+ experience with a minimum of 3 years managing FT creative staff
  • Experience developing channel marketing creative [email, display, site...]
  • Retail / ecommerce experience a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, direct reports
  • Track record of supporting the Creative Director and stepping to help when he/she requests
  • Up to date on creative tools (Adobe, Sketch...)
  • Must be expert at using Adobe CC to deliver digital marketing assets
  • Current with marketing and technology trends
  • History of leveraging tools and technology to work more effectively
  • Great eye and aesthetic
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Strong problem solver/ solutions oriented
  • Results driven
  • Low ego, balanced with a strong sense of ownership
