Located in the Seattle, WA area, we are a fast-growing biopharma company, built on a culture of kindness and helping the greater good seeking a talented Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager. The primary objective of the role is to ensure all entities are compliant from a statutory and reporting perspective within the specified deadlines, can add value to the business from a controller-ship perspective and sustain strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Stakeholders, Finance and other parts of the Regional and Global business.
You will be responsible for gross-to-net, balance sheet integrity, supporting key financial processes including month end close; reporting and forecasting for capex and cash flow; statutory financial reporting and managing external audit relationships. Compliance and control on processes, policies and audit to ensure internal and external governance are managed.Why join us?

Duties and responsibilities
o Deliver accurate financial reporting to meet monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines and maintaining compliance to accounting policies.
o Manage the monthly forecast and variance analysis, and make recommendations to help mitigate variances and risk to achieve financial targets
o Adherence to IFRS and local Statutory accounting standards, delegated authority matrix and various policies and assess control risk as necessary
o Ensure the efficient and effective completion of internal and external statutory audit within deadlines.
o Identify process standardization and optimization of reporting opportunities and deliver ways to simplify the analysis and reporting processes
o Provide Decision Support Financial Information for new investment and set up Accounting and Control procedures for new entities.
o B.S. in accounting or business administration.
o Master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
o 5+ years as Financial Controller in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment,
o High level of proficiency in PC spreadsheets and ERP/MRP systems.
o CPA or CMA preferred
o SEC expertise, 10K/Q
o CA/ACCA/CPA qualification is preferred - Big 4 or similar practice accounting background a distinct advantage
o Solid communication skills and can work with all members of the organization and all levels of management
o Ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment and respond under ambiguous situations
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and is highly logical and numerate
